I’ve learned over the years that to paint portraits, or any commissioned piece of art, I need to be curious and interested in people. You. Your loved ones. Your pets. Your family memories. Your holiday memories. Your favourite local walk or view.
My art is a form of storytelling and that is what interests me most in my paintings. Whether I am working “alla prima” or in slow, thin glazes in my Studio, I will work closely with you and your family to produce the best artwork I can for your home or office. I will guide you in your choice of medium, whether it will be oil, watercolour, charcoal or pastel and we will work together to ensure your painting tells your story in a way that is meaningful and uplifting.
If you are short on time, I can work from supplied photos, as well as adapting size and technique to fit your preference. Although I’m mainly a portrait artist, working to commission, I do have a variety of other artworks available for sale.
As well as portraits, I paint Pets, Still Life, Wildlife and Landscapes in a variety of mediums.
