I have been drawing since I was around 5 years old . Nothing made me happier than having a set of coloured pencils and crayons and some blank paper ! I still get very excited seeing a pot of freshly sharpened pencils !
I did Art up to A level standard and continued to draw in pen and ink, and watercolour
I trained as a French and Drama teacher then took a degree in Theology and a PGCE in Religious Studies and found that my sketching skills came in handy for summarising occasional teaching points as I think visually, but painting and writing and playing piano and guitar are my way of keeping sane in a very mixed up and confusing world.
In my early twenties I was a freelance humour cartoonist and illustrated magazine articles with cartoons as well as one offs
It was during Covid lockdown that my art really took off and I discovered Acrylic painting and especially loved painting abstracts with bright strong colours
I belong to an Art class which explores many mediums so I can still experiment with other ideas.
